manifestation
at Trg
Republike in
Belgrade.
During this
manifestation
Vojvodina,
Sumadija,
East and
West Serbia
with Kosovo
presented
their best.
In the
exhibition
area, but
also in the
programmes
of all the
participants,
the guests
could feel
the richness
of our
region, from
traditional
to cultural,
artistic
values,
tourist and
gastronomic
specialties.
Palilula
Municipality
presented
its
potentials
in healthy
food
production,
drinks and
domestic
handmade
products as
well as
cultural and
art values
at the promo
desk of
South Serbia
with Kosovo.
Traditional
values of
municipality
presented
`Ethno
association
Palilula`
that
introduced
the public
with
recognizable
spectrum of
craft
products
(pottery,
home made
products…).

signed in
the City
Hall of Nis,
the
`Agreement
on the
realization
of the
project
`Establishment
of the
entrepreneurship
center` in
Palilula
Municipality`
that is
realized
within the
programme of
local
economic
development
in Nis
Region.
This project
is one of 17
development
projects
approved by
LEDIB
programme on
the theme of
local
economic
development
and
employment
increasing.
With the
establishment
of this
Center in
Palilula,
like
president
Novakovic
emphasizes,
`the point
is on the
strengthening
of
entrepreneurship
spirit,
increasing
availability
and free
stream of
information
for SME
sector and
entrepreneurs,
registered
agricultural
households,
business
associations
and other
interested
citizens for
this
matter`.

STRATEGY
ELABORATION
FORMED

The
Commission
for the
elaboration
of this
Strategy was
formed
within the
elaboration
of the
Strategy of
SMEs and
entrepreneur
development
at the
territory of
Palilula
Municipality,
currently in
the
realization
with the
cooperation
and
financial
support of
international
organization
– LEDIB,
during the
ninth
meeting of
Palilula
Assembly.
This
commission
has 48
members.
Three
working
groups were
formed for
this
occasion:
production
and
adaptation –
refining,
services and
agriculture.
At the
constitutional
meeting held
on June 24,
the members
of the
working
groups
acknowledged
the work
rights and
in further
discussion
went through
the vision,
SWOT
analyses and
priorities.

Ninth
meeting of
Palilula
Assembly was
held on June
18 2009 in
NKC
building.
Having
legitimating
the Agenda
from the
eight
meeting, the
councilors
brought the
Decision on
forming the
Board for
European
integrations
that will
have seven
members.
They also
brought the
Decision of
forming
Board for
the
cooperation
with Steady
conference
of cities
and
municipalities.
PhD Igor
Novakovic
addressed to
the
councilors
and
aldermen.
The
president
spoke about
the
significance
of the
projects and
approved
financial
resources to
Palilula
Municipality
for these
projects.
The

being
realized at
the moment:

entrepreneur

One year
activity of
new
government
of Palilula
Municipality
is publicly
presented in
press
release -
PALILULA
NEWSPAPER
that was
promoted
within the
manifestation
`Palilula
Night`. This
newspaper,
printed in
24 pages,
publishes
the most
significant
activities
of this
local
government
month by
month.
Novakovic,
the
president of
the
Municipality,
emphasizes
that this
sort of
citizens
informing is
very
important so
that the
citizens
practically
could see
the work of
the
government
that they
had elected
before and
so that they
could take
active
participation
in local
community
development.
In the form
of reports
and news,
with text
and photos,
the events
and actions,
meetings,
invitations,
president
and
Municipal
Council
activities
and actions,
work of
Assembly
councilors,
all the
events
organized by
Palilula
were
registered
and recorded
and then
presented to
the public.

THE RUINS OF
OLD SCHOOL
REMOVED
15.06.2009.
Old school
in Donje
Medjurovo
village is
finally
pulled down.
It was the
object that
has been for
a few years
ruined and
represented
permanent
threat for
the people
passing by,
especially
children. On
the demand
of the
Citizen
Council and
support of
Palilula
Municipality and Head office for the
assets of
the City of
Nis
the final
chapter came
to the
problem of
many years.
The story
has already
become
familiar:
since this
particular
structural
object has
not been
available
for using
and for its
step by step
self –
destruction,
it has
become
dangerous
for the
people
passing,
because it
is situated
next to
local
community
building and
in the
immediate
neighborhood
is `Desanka
Maksimovic`
new
elementary
school and
sport
terrains.
Three years
ago the
decision on
the pulling
it down was
legally
brought.
However,
since then
nothing has
been done
for its
realization.

CEMETERY`
WITHOUT
GARBAGE
DUMPS

Palilula
Municipality
organized
the cleaning
of big city
garbage dump
place at the
very
entrance of
Old Cemetery
of Nis
towards
Goricka
street. It
was realized
within the
action
` LET US
CLEAN UP
SERBIA -
LET`S CLEAN
AND GREEN`
and
worldwide
campaign
`Clean up
the world`,
that is put
into
practice as
a week of
Nis cleaning
joined with
the
remembering
the
World day of
life
environment
protection
and
promotion of
collecting
secondary
row material
and
recycling,
life
protection
and fight
against the
climate
changes.
This
activity
also
gathered
more than
150
participants
and
successfully
was realized
with the
support of `Mediana`
Public
Enterprise.
The
promoters of
the
activities
of cleaning
garbage
dumps, that
spreads on
over two
hectares and
stands for
very bad
looking
sight of Nis.

takes the

very well

Municipality
is one of
five Nis
city
municipalities
that spreads

south part
of Nis and

narrow city
part where

settlements
also belong.

is natural
–geographical
combination
of lowland

the rivers

Juzna Morava)

visited the

colleagues.
This visit
is a part of
Municipal

participation
of the
guests from
Bulgarian
Municipality
Svoge and
Novi Sad,as
well as
large number

HERITAGE

Sixth
international
festival of
ecological
and
archeological
movies – `Ekopolis
fest 2009`
was opened
at the end
of the
previous
week in the
City Hall.
It was
opened for
remembering
June 5 -
`World day
of life
protection`
and the
Saint day of
Nis and will
be finished
on June 10
with the
projections
in Nis
cultural
Center hall.
This unique
manifestation,
that has
already
become a
tradition,
was opened
in the name
of the City
of Nis, the
mayor of Nis
and Palilula
Municipality
by Dusica
Davidovic,
City
councilor.
